Tralee was established by John FitzThomas FitzGerald close to 1216 and he founded the Dominican Abbey here in 1243.
At the Kerry County Museum, you can stroll by means of the streets, encountering the sights, sounds and smells of a bustling medieval neighborhood. The uniform of the Marines is the conventional red coat, white trousers, black gaiters and a bicorn hat. The facings were white, indicating a naval or marine unit. Marines also use white cross belts with a “fouled anchor” on the cross-plate.
