A couple of great medieval sword pictures I found:

A demonstration by people from the Royal Armouries, Leeds of how medieval (15th century) knights and guys-at-arms dressed in their armour at the Worldwide Medieval Congress, University of Leeds.

This armour is akin to the type worn by Germans or Italians.
