   Charming but not for multiple uses…, November 9, 2008

   The costume arrived very quickly and was quite charming. My stepson adored it. However, I don’t recommend this product if you are planning on using it for more than one event. He wore it to a costume party the week before, trick or treating at school, and then again on Halloween night and by the time Halloween came around the silver material on the cowl was snagging. It still looked good, but it came as kind of a surprise.

   Definitely get the costume however if you are not planning on putting so much wear and tear on it as my little four year old did.

   I purchased this costume for my son at least one week before Halloween. I ordered a size 6-8 Valiant Knight Costume and received a size 10 Policeman Costume. I tried repeatedly to contact the company to ask them to send the correct costume in time for Halloween, but after waiting on hold several times for 20 minutes EACH TIME, just to be hung up on, I ran out of time and had to search through the few remaining costumes left at Target. I have yet to try to mail it back, due to being out of town with a close relative’s sudden illness and death. Best of luck to those of you buying from this company — I had horrible results and recommend Amazon no longer carry them as a seller. I wanted to give them zero stars, but had to click on at least one star to get the review to post.

   Terrible, terrible, terrible quality. The XS would probably fit a 12 year old. It looked like a full length gown on my 6 year old…..falling off the shoulders. And unless your kid enjoys incredibly itchy fabric around their face, save your money. I ended up having to line the headpiece with a fabric that wouldn’t scratch his neck all up and even with that double reinforcement, the headpiece tore all up…..after being worn ONCE. He only wore it to school so it wasn’t like he was rough housing in it all day, they just did school stuff. The headpiece and arms that are supposed to be the fake chain-mail have strings coming all out everywhere. I don’t think I could have been more disappointed with this costume. It is definitely not meant for more than a single use so if you’re buying as dress up play clothes, don’t. And seriously, rethink it anyway b/c the headpiece is super itchy – most kids are probably going to complain about that. OH, and it does NOT include pants!! Just in case you thought it did. And it does NOT fit like it’s pictured…like I said the top is basically a dress…it hit past my kid’s knees…and then the headpiece completely covers the front of the shirt and the picture. The arm pieces are so big they just slide off. I mean, I ordered an XS…you’d expect it to be relatively small. I could’ve wore this…and I’m a 29 year old women. Lol. There are better options on amazon for knight costumes, pick another! This is garbage. You are throwing $20 in the trash if you buy it. I never write reviews on amazon but I just couldn’t let this one go. It was too bad. Lol.
