St. Anne ceramic tile pendant necklace

This ‘Santa Anna’ tile was located on a lava stone walled house, so stunning with its deep cobalt blue, weathered by time..and now.. caught in this instant.
The first image of St. Anne was taken by me ‘in situ’, the tile found on a lava stone wall protecting a crumbling ‘quinta’ (farm).
The image was digitally improved, transferred to polymer clay, fired and distressed and then lastly set into a hammered sterling silver setting which hangs from a tiny lava stone ball

This previous mining car ("Hunt" in German) was identified in a medieval silver adit – the modest beginnings of railway happened beneath ground!
